Digital Forensic Solutions’ team of experts is based in Pittsburgh, PA with affiliates in New York, New Jersey, California and other U.S. and Canadian locations. This team is comprised of current and past law enforcement professionals with first-hand experience in evidence preservation, digital forensic investigations and instruction, expert testimony, and execution of legal process.
DFS is led by Michael C. Taylor, CFCE. He has over 25 years in the computer and technology related fields, including over 20 years of experience in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, retiring with knowledge in the fields of computers, telephony, encryption, and computer networking. Mr. Taylor is an experienced user on UNIX, LINUX, Windows and DOS based systems as well as Cisco routers and switches. In addition, Mr. Taylor has extensive knowledge in the design and management of LANs, MANs, and WANs as implemented by government and private entities; encrypted or unsecured, wireless and wired architectures.
Mr. Taylor has been in the law enforcement field for more than a decade, and has spent the last several as a criminal investigator and computer forensic specialist. As an investigator, he has experienced numerous incidents in which computer, network, cellular telephone and other computer related technologies have been utilized. Many of his investigations have led to the successful prosecution and conviction for crimes involving computer technologies.
