Undelete Data Service
Have you, one of your family members or an employee accidentally or intentionally deleted critical information? Has your Microsoft product decided to perform a CHKDSK (check disk) procedure and delete hundreds or thousands of files? It happens more often that you may care to think. DFS offers their “undelete” service to customers needing that critical information returned to its original state.†
DFS can recover this type of data with a very high success rate when these simple rules are followed:‡
- Do not use any application or program that accesses (alters) the media in any way (simply using the machine will alter data).
- Shut down the system or device immediately and do not allow the system to be re-booted or re-powered.
- If the system is a server, RAID, NAS or the like, contact your system administrator prior to powering any system down.
- Use the DFS online contact form for initial consultation of data recovery.
These guidelines apply to all Data and Disk Recovery precautionary measures. Attempts to recover data improperly could cause irrecoverable damage.
† DFS cannot guarantee that data recovery will be absolute. Data recovery success diminishes as time and activity on the affected system increase. All media is imaged prior to recovery attempts.
‡ DFS accepts no liability for unfavorable or undesired results when using these guidlines.
